Rescue Me ID: 16-07-22-00072Mason (male)

Parson Russell Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mason is 5-6MO (give or take a month or two). We believe he in Australian Shepard/ Terrier mix weighing in at about 16-17lbs. They have little faces and very unique coloring and coats. Mason was dumped at a shelter with his brother Moshi. The shelter in New Mexico they were dumped at has very little foot traffic so their future looked very grim. Our rescue brought them to CO because we knew they would find wonderful families here in CO. Moshi and Mason are very happy, playful pups. They still have their puppy energy and happiness. They love to play hard and sleep harder. They get along great with other dogs and would love to have ... (Read More)an older doggy friend to keep them company. Even though Mason and Moshi did not come from the most loving situation, they have so much happiness, love, and snuggles to give. We believe that these pups will be about 25-35lbs when they are full grown. They will be the perfect size to be hiking buddies for the CO mountains. We would like Moshi and Mason to go to homes with active families, or with families who have a back yard for the dogs to run around in. If you are interested in adopting Moshi or Mason, please email us at sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-19-00048Valerie (female)

Parson Russell Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

It got scarily close to Valerie's euthanasia time in a dismal Texas shelter. It was definitely through no fault of her own..it's all a matter of space. She came in at a very crowded time (but then again..all times are very crowded) and was therefore given a very short window in which to be rescued. After a scramble by our very compassionate Texas rescuer (she has a soft spot for a really cute fuzzy puppy with a great temperament!), was pulled out of the shelter at the last second possible. Her rescuer, shelter workers and Valerie's foster haven't stopped raving about this adorable and engaging pup ever since. Valerie, at 6 months old ... (Read More)and 16 lbs (anticipated to be about 20 lbs when full grown) is the perfect size to take along just about anywhere. She is such a perfect candidate to find her forever home in Colorado - she's a natural-born walker with the energy and enthusiasm to accompany her favorite person on any path. We envision Valerie with an active family with older, respectful kids.. or retirees who enjoy spending their time with a comical fuzzy puppy. She would be a very family-oriented pup if given the chance...adventures, vacations or just hanging out at home would speak to the nature of this sweet girl. A fun time would be exploring dog-friendly spots or time spent socializing with gentle canines and their dog-loving families. At the end of the day...there would be nothing better for Valerie than to snuggle down with her family of humans and canines..she is unknown with cats. Valerie can be counted on to be a truly positive addition to any home. She is a low-maintenance girl whose joy at being part of a committed family would know no bounds. Valerie would shine in positive reinforcement group obedience classes since her desire to please is so strong...and it would create that special bond that exists between a trained, respectful dog and her people. After passing her temperament tests and vetting with flying colors, Valerie is in a foster home in Texas being reminded of her basic house skills. Her foster family has described her as a lovebug and a sweetpea...can we possibly say more? They did say that Valerie may need a bit of time after her long transport to Boulder, to be her happy and very loving self. Valerie is in need of a sudsy bath and a great brushing'|. she will emerge with an amazing white/black coat that over time will speak of cottony softness and good health. Valerie will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her lovely coat healthy and cottony-soft. Valerie will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 7/22/16. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving puppy, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-28-00041Bennie (male)

Parson Russell Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bennie was found on the streets of TX with his two siblings. It seemed as if his mom had abandoned him at a young age, who knows, maybe she was hit by a car or picked up by animal control without him. Our rescue did not feel like the shelter was the right place for him to become the puppy we knew he wanted to be, so we found a foster for him and quickly got him out of the shelter environment. It has been almost a month now and he is doing AMAZINGLY well. Despite Bennie's rough start to life, he is still one of the happiest puppies. Bennie lives by the saying "play hard, sleep hard" Here is what his foster mom has to say ... (Read More)about him: "Bennie has a good amount of that puppy energy. He loves to play and go for walks. While he loves to be on the move, he understands when it's time to lay down and relax. He is very adventurous and faces his fears very quickly. It was a shock to us how fast of a learner he is at such a young age, he is such a smart little boy. He loves to be close to you and always comes running when he hears you in the room or climbs into your lap when you sit down. He is such a loving dog and will be great with any family. He plays with our big golden all the time and they have become very close buds, so having another dog would not be a bad thing at all!" If you are interested in adopting Bennie, please email us for an application at sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com (Less)
