     My 17 year old agility champion crossed the rainbow bridge in January. One day, to pass the time, I was curious if there was another fearless dog with the drive and loyalty that might make another agility champion. Most of the biographies I read described many sweet, calm, easy going lap dogs which were nice, but not what I was looking for. How I ended up on the Rescue Me website is still a mystery, or was it fate? When I read Sailor's bio I was more than intrigued. Her foster mom described the dog of my dreams: high drive, relentless, unable to sit still, fearless, basically able to 'leap tall buildings in a single bound,' cling to your side kind of dog. After talking with Sailor's foster parents for several hours, I made plans to travel to adopt her. Sailor has been with me from that day forward. Sailor has learned sit, down, wait, stay, ready, steady, free, and is the star of her beginning obedience class. Also, we have started basic agility training all of which she enjoys. Sailor has brought much joy into my life and makes me laugh everyday. Thank you so much Rescue Me!

     I was so happy that Louie found his new forever home through Rescue Me. He so deserved a family that would really love him. It really is the owner's responsibility to make sure the caller has your pet's best interest in mind. Please make sure you ask a lot of questions and screen well. We were very concerned with a few callers, it was a little scary. However, this showed us that the message really got out there and we knew the right match would come along soon and it really did. I am so happy for Louie and his new family! We are now friends on Facebook and I see his progress daily! Thank you for your help. I don't think we could have done this without this site.

     Precious was in our shelter system for eight months (five as a foster healing from a bad skin infection and three in the shelter). We had just about given up hope, when I got a call from a woman in Wisconsin, who wanted to adopt an adult Parson Russell female. Even after I told her about Precious's allergies, she was still interested. She and her husband drove 14 hours from northern Wisconsin to East Tennessee to meet and adopt Precious and then turned around and drove back. Thanks for uniting Precious with such a wonderful couple. You made it happen!

     I posted Bruiser and Paisley on Rescue me three days ago and have found new homes for both of them. It was important to me for them to stay together considering they are brother and sister and have always been together and they were lucky enough to find a home that was willing to take both of them.      I had a response within 24 hours of posting my ad. After exchanging several emails the family came to see him on the very next weekend. After having lived for the most part in a crate and outside with little attention (because we work long hours) he needed a home with lots of attention and freedom. They fell in love with him and took him home that very day. He has since been neutered, sleeps on their bed, has another dog to play with, acreage to run on and tons of attention from his new forever family. Thank you Rescue me for helping Hunter find the wonderful new home he so deserves in just 4 days.

     Dear Jeff, I was contacted by a young woman who found Lucy on your rescue site. She actually lives in the same city so we were able to meet at a local park. She fell in love with Lucy as soon as they started playing and running around the park! I am so fortunate to find a great home, and match, for Lucy. The new owner is familiar with Jack/Parson Russells and that is how she found Lucy by going to your rescue site. Thanks, Patty
